Hello!
I'm Debra, the founder of Transom; an inspirational word to me because it truly captures what I do. A transom is a key strengthening crossbar found on boats and in architecture – a connection shared between two of my favorite elements in life.
I have over 30 years of experience in facilities, FF&E, relocation, and project management in the U.S. and Canada. My consistent customer deliverable has always been and will remain, to support, stabilize, and strengthen.
How I Got Here
My diverse work background also includes management in design and commercial construction, while serving as a liaison for investors, owners, and clients. In a nutshell, I turn workspace chaos into calm. And above all else, I consider my primary craft to be customer experience and satisfaction.
As well as supporting my clients, I love to support my industry. I’ve been deeply involved with CREW San Diego since 2000. I have been an instrumental part of the growth and development of this wonderful organization that exists to transform the commercial real estate industry by advancing women.

Deeply involved since 1999, I have been an instrumental part of the growth and development of the CREW San Diego Chapter, that exists to transform the commercial real estate industry by advancing women. This year, I am honored to be serving on the Advisory Board and to participate as a CREWMates Mentor. Previously, I served as CREW San Diego chapter president in 2003 and 2009, and national delegate in 2016. I’m the immediate-past chair of CREWmates, a mentorship program for CREW San Diego members, and I served on the advisory committee to the chapter’s board in 2022.
I was also recognized by the San Diego Business Journal as one of the Women of Influence in 50 Over 50 – Top 50 in 2022.
I love giving back in other ways, too. I parlay my passion for sailing into two volunteer pursuits:
+ Silver Gate Yacht Club’s Wheelchair Regatta, where hundreds of disabled individuals enjoy a “Day on the Bay”, lunch, music, and friendship.
+ The America’s Schooner Cup Regatta, benefitting the Navy-Marine Corp Relief Society
